Our mission
A second chance on the road
We work in partnership with the City of Copenhagen to give abandoned and discarded bicycles a new lease on life.
We collect, repair, and refurbish as many bicycles as possible, giving them a second chance on the road instead of letting them become waste.
When you buy a bicycle from us, you are helping to support reuse, reduce waste, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
All of our bicycles have been thoroughly inspected and serviced, so they are ready to ride.
Why the bikes are cheap
Because we do not buy them from a wholesaler. The City of Copenhagen removes abandoned and illegally parked bicycles across the city, and those bikes end up with us instead of at the scrapyard. We are not paying for a new frame, new paint and a container from Asia, and that difference is what you see on the price tag.
It also means you always know where the bike came from. Every bike in the shop comes through the City of Copenhagen, not from a stranger on a marketplace.
What we do to every bike
Brakes, gears, chain and tyres are gone through in our workshop, and worn parts are replaced before the bike goes on sale. If something is still worn, we write it on the bike rather than letting you discover it later. Refurbishment is included in the price, so nothing is added when you are standing at the counter.
How buying works
- Find the bike on this site, or just come by and look.
- Take it for a ride on the road outside. That is the only real test.
- We adjust the saddle and handlebars, and you ride it home.
We do not take reservations, and bikes are collected in the shop. We do not ship.
